I bought this photo frame for my wife to replace another photo frame that works similar to this one. My wife is a rebar photographer and we both love photography and photography. So if we bought another photo frame a few years ago, you can download it by emailing the photos in the frame. We really liked the convenience of this approach, but image quality was so-so. That was a few years ago so we didn't think much about it as it was a lot more expensive to get the best quality. Fast forward to now and the screen quality has improved a lot and it's a lot cheaper. So the old frame just didn't seem right for what we wanted for our high-quality, high-resolution photos. After some research, we came across the Aura framework. The screen quality is top notch. With the 2k resolution, you can really get the details in your photos. More importantly, the images are also bright, with good saturation and contrast. The previous frame always looked blurry, but not the aura frame. The photos look fantastic. The old photos we took got a new life. Mobile phone photos from several iPhone versions back also look good. While we take most of the photos with a Nikon DSLR, I also have an iPhone 11 Pro that we'll be uploading photos from and they all look as good as the prints. Aura uses an application interface to upload photos to the frame and it's very simple. You allow access to your camera roll on your phone or your Google Photo account and then you can select the photos you want to add. You can also crop or rotate photos in the app to ensure they appear how you want them to. There is also a web downloader on the Aura website, but this service is immature (or at least I don't think so). With the web uploader, you are limited to files that are 10MB or less. Working with tech support who was very helpful, they explained that it's easier to upload photos from your computer to your Google Photo account and then use the photo frame upload app. I take their advice and agree that this is the best approach. The frame itself is well made and we really like this particular design. Aura offers different types so you can choose the one that suits your style. Other details worth noting are that the frame can display Live Photos (when the photo appears, the Live Photo will first play and then stop on the frame), you can control how fast the photos change when the frame turns on (automatically based on indoor brightness or time), and you can invite friends and family to download. I highly recommend this frame as the image quality alone is worth the money. Don't leave those photos on your phone and view them with Aura.
