Review on πŸ”΄ Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad 5 in Striking Mars Red Orange: A Perfect Blend of Style and Functionality by Draven Invert

Cool case, terrible design.

I love the way this case looks and feels (when closed) but that's about it. There are a few design flaws that make it a pretty bad product. First, the keyboard's keys are slightly convex at the top, which is the opposite of almost every other keyboard I've used. Most keyboard keys are slightly concave so your fingertip can find and stay on the key. My fingers tend to slip on these keys, making typing slower. In addition, the decision to combine the "Caps Lock” and "A” keys could only be made by late drunkenness. This will discard the touch-typing as the A key is now the end key and not the second from the end. Those two elements are things I was just getting used to and could live with when the clip holding the iPad broke (similar to many other reviews here). I had the case for exactly 42 days before this crucial (and very fragile) part broke when I was removing my iPad from the case (which I did about once a week). Even with this detail, the iPad never fit as snugly in the case as it should. There was always a small gap in the top left corner (seen from the typing position). It's just bad design. Now that this part is broken, the iPad slides out every time I open or close the case. I have opened a case with Logitech Support and will update this review as this process progresses. But so far I wouldn't recommend this case to anyone. So close to a great body but mortally damaged! UPDATE: I received a replacement from Logitech today. Not bad - just over a week since I made the request. The Logitech support site is hard to understand but I have the second generation of this case and the tab that broke on the last one looks a little stronger (see third picture).
