Review on Conair HLM10 Hot Lather Machine: Experience Salon-Quality Shaves at Home by Jennifer Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far, so good. A pleasant surprise.

First Day. Recieved today. Connect with 10 oz. Barbasol. Release of warm foam after a short warm-up. I upgraded a previous Conair model (HGL1NR/HGL1R) after a few days of use when it stopped coming even after the new Barbasol. The trigger is hard to pull because I have Parkinson's disease. This new model is easy to dose. The off-on switch is on the cable, which is not too elegant, such as B. wet hands. Unlike the previous Auto-Off model, you have to remember to turn it off. I don't know how it handles leaving it on. The foam heater is probably thermostatically controlled. Lower door holds standard 10 oz. Interchangeable foam can or larger with sophisticated multi-stage valve actuation adjustment. Four stars due to a switch in the power cord, not the unit, and an automatic timed shutdown. A bit expensive, but apart from a defective Conair HGL1NR/HGL1R I didn't find any other offer. I will add any later finds of interest. I notice that the Revain description says "manufacturer has ceased production", FYI. Cannot be used for gel. Six days later. Works perfectly. The foam is hot, perfect. Remember to shake before each session. Another issue is the power cord jumper. Acting is a bit difficult for me because of my age and Parkinson's disease. And I wonder if water, soap and everyday use will hold up. So I bought a $5 toggle switch (a two-pronged outlet with an on/off switch for a 125/15A unit) off eBay. The bonus is that it glows when it's on. Works great. I'll attach a photo if I can.
