Review on ๐Ÿฅ— Bentgo Salad - Stackable Lunch Container with 54-oz Large Salad Bowl, Bento-Style Tray with 4 Compartments for Toppings, Dressings in 3-oz Sauce Container, Reusable Fork & BPA-Free (Slate) by Carrie Thompson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

AVOID - 5/6 breaks in normal use and no response to warranty requests

Update 2: Two more of these are now destroyed - no word from support (two emails). That means 5 out of 6 will be destroyed by normal, careful use and regular washing. I bought THREE to have a spare as I was willing to pay more for the extra after sales service to at least honor their warranty. Without this I must warn DO NOT BUY. I'll let you know if I don't get an answer this week. I like the shape but the poor quality and lack of support is a waste of money. AVOID. Update: The seller contacted us and mentioned their 2 year guarantee. Replacements for both defective covers sent immediately. My favorite lunch bag so far. Impressed with the tenacity of the customer service team. I still wish they would upgrade the hinge, but my overall opinion is (1) a great box, (2) buying a backup, and (3) seller support makes it worth it. ----------- ----I really liked this bento box - I ordered two and used them daily for several weeks - literally (about 4). I opened my lunch today (never dropped, damaged, cleaned daily etc) and the lock handle popped out. Without these handles, you can't lock or close the box at all, making it relatively useless. As shown, the entire assembly is held together by four pin-width hinge pins and does not appear to withstand the stress of repeated use. VERY disappointing as I'm a big fan of the layout and size for carrying salad and such to work.

Pros
  • KEEPS SALAD FRESH: Leak-proof lid features a rubberized O-ring and locking clips to keep food fresh on the go - Top shelf is dishwasher safe and BPA-free
Cons
  • Required Socket
