Also works well with a 14 " lid

Okay, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, that's my favorite. Soups, stews, homemade tomato sauce are among my favorite things to do. The only thing that has been an issue so far has been the lids when I want to add ingredients or thicken the sauce. Trying to turn the lid upside down so it doesn't seal the countertop, splashing water and messing up the countertop with a very hot lid is no fun. Plus, it just makes a mess on the counter that you have to clean up afterwards. When it became available I decided to order it, although the 1960s green color is NOT what I like. Since there were two, I figured I'd donate the green one and keep the brown one if I liked it. So, here's what I found: 1. I didn't like the green color in life more than in the pictures. Still, it's an effective spoon rest, but even better is a lid stand! It even holds a 14 inch lid (see picture). I was concerned that the well would not be deep enough to drain the moisture or that it would be unstable with a large lid. All this turned out to be unproblematic.2. Even if you use the lid holder function, you still have a functional spoon holder. Since I usually have several things on the stovetop at once, a large spoon holder that allows you to use multiple tools is great! 3. I have a very slick countertop and was worried it wouldn't stay in place. Well, there's another worry that turned out to be non-existent. This thing stays in place but moves slightly.4. Now cleaning is always fun. Do they really work well in the dishwasher? The answer is yes if you have a new washing machine somewhere in the dishwasher. Also yes if you have an old washing machine with a large heating element on the top shelf of the washing machine. Remember when I said I'd donate the greenery? Well I changed my mind and went green on my RV. No, I still don't like the color, but it wouldn't be that noticeable in a motorhome and the functionality is great. It's enough that I don't notice him in the camper! Yes I would recommend this product if you enjoy cooking.
