Revainrating 5 out of 5

* Updated. Decent projector for the price

*Update I contacted the seller and he sent me a new projector based on the pictures and problems I had. The new projector is MUCH better. I only have one visible pixel sized blob that I can certainly live with. It's grown a few more since then, but I think the movement of the projector shifts and then gets stuck on the lenses. After the seller fixed this issue, I have nothing negative to say about this projector. I will be using it for a few months but am very impressed with this device. * Previous Rating Brightness is decent. Will not be like professional models. 8500 is a flat lie, it should be illegal and not allowed in Revain. Best advice: take any lumens you see on a no-name projector and drop 0.850 still a stretch but much closer. Definitely less than 1000. Looks like 600. Can go all the way up to 850 if you max out all stages, but it's really good in standard darkroom mode. Focusing is good. You can fully focus on the whole picture, not just the center, so that's good. I'm not exactly sure what 1080 is. Some look like 1080, others like 720. It's weird. The color space is small. You won't notice much difference between 50 and 100 on the menu. The same applies to brightness and contrast. It gets brighter and you can get a good picture, but it's not a very large area to work with. Not that it was necessary. It's a pretty darn near-perfect picture out of the box. I set brightness 60/contrast 60/saturation 60/sharpness 45. Default is flat 50. Vivid - 75. You can't adjust the hue for some reason. It's there, but in the shadows. Keystone correction is GREAT, everything better than manual keystone correction and it has 4D horizontal and vertical digital keystone correction. That means you can get a square image when the projector is to the right or left, above or below the screen without sacrificing a ton of focus. . You lose some, but not as much as by hand. I hate manual keystone out of passion. Zooming is fine. This is between 60 and 100%. It is excellent. 25 to 100% is ideal, but that's an ideal world. Or even 50% to 150%. And do you know that this is a digital zoom. So if you reduce the screen to 60%, you lose resolution. The number of projected pixels does not change. The image is simply cropped and compressed to fit the image already projected, leaving black areas where there is no image. An optical zoom would be ideal, but that's fine for a cheap projector. The closer you are to the screen, the smaller the image gets and the better it looks. The sound is ok. It won't blow your mind or sound great, but it can be used and it gets loud. Change it to movie or music for better bass. The user interface is good. Not from 1999 and very easy to navigate. Looks good, almost like Roku. Poorly. Dust and dead pixels on the screen. Black dots and light dots on black screens. There is also a spot on the right side, as well as cloud formation all around the right edge. This is clearly a defective lens or panel. It's not very noticeable, but it's likely to grow into a bigger problem, so I'll probably come back for a new one. I recommend this projector, but just make sure you don't get a broken one. If I can get a replacement I'll update this review after a few months of use.
