We tried several bags - 8 to be exact. This one was perfect. . . plenty of space for our 5 pound fur baby and very comfortable. Not only is this bag airline approved, our little princess loves it! This carrier served several purposes on our travels. Yes, she can fly in it, but she also used it as her "bed away from home". She would nap in the hotel room while waiting for us to pack up and rest comfortably and comfortably in the stretcher when we went to places that didn't allow pets. / on its own, this had THREE different openings (top, front, side) that could be securely sealed when not in use. The side opening was the one we used the most so she could see everything that was going on in the room and easily get in and out of the carrier. This bag was sturdy and unlike some others didn't buckle after installation. It also disassembles very quickly and easily for easy transport. Thank goodness because every time we get to the check in counters they have to open your bag and put your dog in before they give you tickets. with a bag. Removed and washed before use. Washed very well. Let it air dry, not sure if it's suitable for tumble drying but it didn't matter because it dried completely overnight. . Although it was easy to carry alone, the flight attendant was happy with the open top. The manufacturer even included a small Velcro pouch - we used it for their food and treat pouches. We clipped her collapsible water bowl to the strap of her bag with a snap hook - so she was ready to jet set! Highly recommended!
