My old steamer finally died after about 10 years. It was good and I would like to replace it with something similar. I decided to do a little research and settled on this Rowenta unit which cost twice as much as my old one. I thought I use a steamer all the time and my last one lasted 10 years. It's not hard to make $50-100 in 10 years. My expectations were significantly higher due to the price, but it was fully justified. My clothes steamed half as much as before. I don't know what's actually different, but it seems like it makes higher quality vapor or something. The steam just releases better and faster than my old block. The best part of it, and a feature that's really worth paying for, is the screen. It's so easy to vape with when you have a good grip under your clothes. I really doubt I'll ever use an iron again. It makes it faster and I don't think I could get to my clothes that well with my old steamer.
