When you hold the gamepad with your index fingers on the triggers or buttons, it is comfortable for both those with small hands and people with medium hands. If you keep your index fingers on the buttons and your middle fingers on the triggers, then it will be a small grip for a hand of average size due to the fact that the handles are short (extension pads would not hurt here). The sticks have a wonderful feel to them and always find their way back to the middle position. The Saitek Rumble has longer sticks, however I find that the F310 is more comfortable to use throughout my gaming sessions. The cross is not at all uncomfortable, and I did not find any indications that it was fragile. There is a very tiny backlash, but the dial only turns a maximum of three degrees, and considering that it presses the standard four buttons, it is quite unlikely that this will influence the functioning of the device in any meaningful way. The triggers and buttons located directly above them are functioning normally. I wouldn't say that the triggers are particularly difficult to pull, but my fingers do fatigue from pressing them. According to my point of view, it is more accurate to say that they are rather elastic and are not very weak. Buttons, the typical ones that are referred to as "tact" buttons. They do make a slight clicking sound, but so do all tact buttons. They are not bothered by them in any way, even though membrane ones would be quieter.
