works fine once I figured it out. There are no instructions, just a notification that you need to press the "on" button first. on the back of the solar panel before it charges, however there is no way of knowing when it is "on" or "off". "Because the same button is used for both functions and no matter how I press the on/off button, the light does not turn on when there is sunlight. So I just let it go knowing I had a 50/50 chance of being right. At night the light came on and I didn't have to do anything. I also checked the remote control to see different patterns and colors. Some of the patterns have fast light movements that looked cool but got boring after a while so bring back the original slow blinking pattern which is a treat. The lights are definitely bright at night. The remote control has 3 different timer settings for turning the lights off but I just leave mine on all night as the sun seems to charge the battery enough to last all night. I'm taking off a star because it needs more detailed instructions.
