This is a big step forward for the Microsoft mouse. Last time I had a Bluetooth Sculpt Touch mouse with Bluetrack technology that worked on everything but glass. I know Logitech had this feature years ago, but this is the first Microsoft mouse to work well on my glass tabletop, so I didn't need a mouse pad - ever. I have 2 Windows 10 laptops that I use at work. The mouse is surprisingly good at automatically switching between two computers. It's not perfect, but there's a tiny switch at the bottom with an indicator light that shows which computer the mouse is connected to, and you can easily toggle with a button. Interestingly, you may have a different mouse resolution on each computer. I use one computer for some programs and another for different programs. Having different permissions automatically is very convenient. Some of my programs work better with smooth vertical scrolling, while others work better with normal scrolling. There are 3 buttons on the left, all of which are customizable. I charge the battery on a schedule about once a week; I haven't tried to figure out the maximum battery length. When the mouse is connected to the charging cable (USB--->microUSB), it becomes a wired mouse. The mouse is quite large but perfect for use and remains comfortable even after hours of use. I've only had this mouse for a few weeks, but with other reviewers commenting on some reliability issues, I decided to invest in an Assurian replacement contract for only $10 with a 4-year warranty. I have used Assurian's services MANY times for all the phones in my family; If there is a problem, replace them. Unlike my iPhone, I didn't see a replacement fee for the mouse. To sum up, this is the best mouse Microsoft has ever made and it goes well with my Windows 10 PCs.
