My screen cracked after an accident, I thought I had to buy a new laptop. I hooked up the laptop to a replacement monitor and found that the PC otherwise worked great and looked into screen replacement options. It's a great, albeit cheap, laptop, so I was wondering if I shouldn't just buy a new one. Youtube has a great tutorial on how to remove screen from c655. Removing the screen was amazingly easy and took maybe 10 minutes. This screen arrived on time and having just removed the screen I found I didn't need Youtube's help by following the process in reverse. In a way, this is easier than installing a traditional external screen. There is only one connector that provides power and video signal. The Toshiba sleeve snaps and rolls quickly and easily, and the laptop looks and works like new.
