If you're carrying a spare gravity filter on a day hike or need a longer term backup, this works great. It's a bit slow for a basic water filter when you have 4 or more on a hike (I usually travel in groups of 4-6). If you're traveling with one or two, it should be fine. I prefer two filters in case one gets clogged or not working for some reason. This one can use the same bubbles as my faster filter. It comes with a filter only, no chambers or bags.
