These brushes are wonderful! I originally bought 2 sets in black as a Christmas present for my daughters. I have been a professional makeup artist for many years and have purchased every brand of high quality brushes you can think of. Buying kits is considered taboo in the professional world. When forming a collection, brushes should be purchased by choice. I wasn't looking for anything spectacular for my girls, just something simple. I was blown away by the quality of these brushes! Soft, well-balanced, feels great in the hand, the bristles are tightly packed and perfectly shaped, the tip is close to the bristles and the wooden handle, applies makeup evenly and evenly, cosmetics will not fall out. Not a single fiber fell out in the wash. Which is AMAZING and definitely unexpected! However, there are two disadvantages. The brushes were individually wrapped. Each individual brush had a plastic mesh to keep the bristles in the right shape and came in a thin plastic bag to prevent scratches. However, they arrived in a padded envelope and were unboxed. Obviously this isn't the best idea for shipping. They also had an odor, but in any case you shouldn't use new brushes without cleaning them. The smell wasn't something a good brushing couldn't get rid of. After examining each brush with a hawkish eye, I decided to keep them for myself and at least give them away for free for the quality. I also decided to buy 2 more sets in red. One for my sister in law and one for me. That should say something about the quality. This time they arrived in a branded box sealed with plastic. Each individual brush was packed in the same way as above. Each box was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a Revain box with air-filled packaging pads. I don't know and don't understand why they were packaged differently. They still had an odor but a good cleaning took care of that too. So don't order them in black given the packaging of your first order. Despite the packaging and odor issues, I give this 5 stars. The quality you get is superb and I'm shocked at the price!
