Don't trust the specs

This amp works great for the purpose I intended to drive a small array of speakers in an outdoor gazebo at "background" volume. However, the actual output power is NOT 60W. Anyway, it's more like 8-10 watts before overload. I was expecting a bit more, although this "power" specification issue is very common with most audio amplifiers made in China. Although I'm an electrical engineer, anyone with a basic knowledge of electrical engineering can see that the power supply itself cannot deliver even half of its advertised power (14.4 volts x 2 amps = 28.8 watts). So that's only 28.8 watts to power the entire device, including the LED lighting around the volume knob. Also on the device I bought the microphone input did nothing at all. But it does the simple job I bought it for, so I'm keeping it to myself. One more thing to note: if you can connect it to a subwoofer (even a dual-coil speaker) - don't. The T-class amplifier chip uses special inductors and capacitors on the output - even on the common ground side. Unlike most stereo amplifiers, the black/common terminals are NOT the same connection for each channel. Translation: The overload relay works even at very low volume.
