This is my third Monbento box in the last 6 years and they have all held up to daily meals. Colleagues keep asking about the box as it seems solid and even stains are not a problem on darker models. However, the chance of a leak is 50/50 for me. It's a bad idea if you have oils like olives or garlic that are difficult to peel. When closing the lid, do not forget to seal it with a plastic thickening, otherwise the liquid will spill out. This box holds more than a standard sized Monbento box. One level is enough for a whole meal. Adding an extra tier is mostly just used to accommodate fruit or desserts. You can also be nice and bring an extra meal for a friend or loved one. I still like the regular size, but the bowl is so deep you could even pour yourself some soup. I also use it as my main plate at home because when I'm not eating or eating slowly I can just close the lid and come back on it after a few minutes.
