Ok, just like everyone else who has commented on this lamp, I did a little research before deciding which lamps to go with my standard -Would like to upgrade halogen lamps. . Keep in mind I have a brand new 2015 Hyundai Veloster with under 1000 miles so the stock bulbs were actually pretty good but I wanted to see if I could get more brightness and range along with a whiter temperature. The reason I included the Nighthawk Platinum in this review is because I bought them both in the same order to do a comparison test to see which bulbs are brighter, whiter, etc. because that was two, that I've been arguing about. Now I originally thought I would set the Phillips to Hi and the GE to Low because I thought the Phillips would be brighter (I drive a lot on dark back roads where there is an excess of deer/wildlife). ), but I ended up doing the exact opposite because I felt the GE lamps produced whiter light. I've tried both high and low beam bulbs on one side versus original OEM bulbs and I have to tell you I wasn't impressed. general. They were brighter, but not by much, and the temperature wasn't significantly whiter. GE claimed an increase of up to 90% and Phillips an increase of up to 110% over standard halogen. In my particular application I would say they were both 20% brighter. The only thing I like about these bulbs is that they shine further down the road. I would say I have 30% more high beam and 15% wider beam with both bulbs. In my honest opinion, if you have a new car and your lights haven't gone out yet, don't buy it thinking you're getting a major upgrade, you'll be disappointed. I imagine this would be a definite upgrade on older cars where the quality of the bulbs may be lower. In my honest review, and after about an hour or two of testing, I would honestly rate these two lamps the same, with GE lamps emitting a little whiter. easy, so definitely take the GE for the price difference. I paid $17 with change for GE and $28 with change for Phillips. Last but not least I will not upload photos as I don't think you can see the difference in the photos. Bottom Line: If you have an older car with inferior bulbs, these two bulbs are good replacement choices if you have a newer car and are looking elsewhere for an upgrade. If you buy one of these products and think you're getting anything remotely like that whitish blue HID 6500k diamond temp you'll be notoriously disappointed, it's more of a white 4500k.
