I installed this clutch kit in my 08 Honda Civic LX and it did the trick. I would however like to warn you of a few things I found especially if you are a DIY mechanic like myself. First as you disassemble your old clutch, pulley and coil save the shims behind the clutch and the snap rings that hold in the pulley and the coil, you may need them again. My kit came with 2 new snap rings, the one for the coil was just totally wrong. It was entirely to small I.D. and O.D.dimensions, so I used the one I removed with the existing part. The snap ring made for the pulley was the correct size I.D. and O.D. but the ears on the end of the snap ring stuck out far enough that when I installed it in the snap ring groove on the compressor shaft it made it cock and not seat correctly all the way in the groove. I could have slightly ground on these ears with my bench grinder, but again I chose to use the old snap ring I had just removed and it fit fine.As far as the shims that go on the front of the compressor shaft right behind the clutch to give you proper clutch clearance. The kit provided 2 sets of different size shims each containing 4 shims exactly alike. I have enclosed a picture of the 2 different sizes that were included in the kit on the right laying next to my old shim on the left. The ones provided in the kit both were wrong, one being to small the other to big. So again I used my existing shims from the old part. Luckily it did give me enough clearance that I was able to still get a 0.013" feeler gauge between the back of the clutch plate and front of the pulley face giving me the proper clearance needed. However after I finished and started the car the clutch did engage and function properly bringing my cabin temperature to 38 degrees from the vents. So I would recommend definitely purchasing this kit especially for the price, but just look everything over well as compared to your old parts. Also another few helpful hints for the install. remove the front grill, bumper and valence as this will aid in you getting your hands in and around to different parts of the compressor.you can find several how to's on you tube like for a headlight install to remove these. Next remove the passenger side front wheel and remove the plastic from in the fender well to expose the compressor pulley and clutch. Also go ahead and remove the compressor mounting bolts while leaving the system charged. The high and low pressure hoses have enough slack in them as to allow you to drop the compressor down a few inches and cock it toward that front wheel making the snap ring and pulley removal much easier. Hope this helps someone else out.
