I live in a densely wooded area, not a straight line of towers. I was surprised at how many channels and signal strength I got. The amp and its window placement really makes a difference. The first time I put it on the shelf by the window and everything was fine. I put it in the window and got more channels and a better picture. I really like the very long cable as the TV is quite a distance from the window; almost 13 feet. The only downside is that the cable does not detach from the antenna for ease of movement/installation/change of cable length. I think you can get a connector to add extra length of cable, but it would be easier to do it directly. Otherwise, it's a solid choice.
