My old car had 2 cigarette lighters so my wife and I could charge our phones while we were out (or I could charge my tablet and phone or start a Bluetooth FM transmitter, etc.). The new (used) car only had one, and on a date my wife and I got into an argument about who needs more phone charges! That might have saved our marriage! In addition to the 2 cigarette lighter sockets, the USB ports are also handy. I have successfully connected 3 chargers to it at the same time with no apparent side effects. Given the crazy layout on my new car it needs to be able to rotate this device and it still works so we can use cup holders too. You can turn power outlets on and off, but USB ports are always on. when this device is connected to the device. It came with an extra fuse and my model also came with a cigarette lighter. I don't smoke but I tried lighting a candle with it and it worked so it might come in handy in an emergency.
