So I tried using it for the TV in the main living room and although it showed 31 channels I couldn't see any of them due to the signal strength. However when I hung it on the wall upstairs in the master bedroom I didn't get 40 channels but I could see every one of them and the picture was amazing. I believe the poor reception on the first floor is due to our location to the next tower which is lower. I also like the fact that the cord is long enough to run from one end of the wall around the baseboard to the TV as I don't want to change its location. I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend for a second floor or higher as I find it makes a difference in signal reception unless you live in the mountains.
