Review on 🔒 Etronic Bike Lock M6 - Reliable 6ft Coiled Combo Cable Lock with Mounting Bracket by Bill Howard

Etronic or Masterlock? Comparison of a 6ft 8mm cable lock.

I purchased this Etronic cable lock and master lock with the same specs (see below as listed on the Revain website). I ordered a pink main lock for my girlfriend, I ordered a black Etronic for myself. Master Lock 8161DPNK Breast Cancer Research Foundation 6' x 3/8" Wired Combo Bike Lock PinkVSEtronic® M6 Security Lock Self-Retracting Reset Combo Wired Lock 6' x 3/8" Ready to use: I like the Master Lock for its clear and large printed dial locking system. The main lock also seemed very strong and definitely had thicker material in the lock itself (not that I knew it made a difference, any cable lock would be severed, some body really wanted your bike). I didn't like the ETRONIC because the dialing system was so small it was hard to see where you're stringing the numbers together, and for some reason it just didn't feel as solid as the main lock. Main lock: PROS, the lock itself is bigger and just feels more secure, the cable's coating is less abrasive/softer on the bike frame. The number pad is large and clear/easy to use and visible, especially when leaning forward to unlock the lock. The main lock is a big brand and high quality, it was the same. The price is the same as the "fake" version CONS: The combo cushion is large making it difficult to find a place to store it on the frame without selling a water bottle or other accessories and bags to stand in the way. Note: This is also listed in the pros as it makes it easy to see the numbers when aligning. That's almost the only downside, but for me using the EtronicETRONICPRO was enough: the cable stays neatly folded into a smaller digital dial for easier storage without getting in the way of peddling or other accessories. It was a fair price, although you can buy the Master Lock brand for the same price. CONS: The frame mounting clip is wider than the tradesman mounting clip. Lock, which made it difficult for me to find a place to attach the clip-on mount, but I prefer to wrap my cable lock around the frame under the seat. So it didn't bother me, but if you want to use a mounting clip you need a little more space. (Please note that I see this as less of a problem than the issue the Master Lock brand has with their clearance and space issues). Due to the size of the lock itself, it becomes unwieldy and difficult to find a place to store it on the side. Etronic brand: easier to store for use while driving, but difficult to align with a smaller dial indicator. In addition, the mounting clip takes up a little more space due to its width. Hope this helped someone, both have their pros and cons, your bike will still be protected ;)
