Worked with MBP but MBA has problems with DisplayPort. Tried Pluggable DP to HDMI and it does nothing but really confuse the MBA. Tried a monitor with native DisplayPort and it worked once but not after resuming from sleep. Works fine with the included TB to HDMI adapter, but it uses the TB connector BUT if you mess up the MBA my monitor starts reporting an invalid signal. I have no idea what was sent, but disconnecting and waiting a few minutes fixed it (the only way to do the equivalent of an SMC reset on an M1 Mac). YMMV. it really depends on your monitor and whether or not you use the adapter that came with it. The Displayport output was unreliable for me, so I need to connect two TB cables to my MBA (one for the TB drive enclosure). Not the end of the world, but a bit annoying. It's a shame because I haven't had any problems using CalDigit at work. The return period has expired, so I guess I'll have to live with it. I hate giving 1 star when the M1 MBA could be the cause of the problems.
