It is difficult to apply skin care product ratings as we all have different skin types and needs. I was a bit concerned when I saw the negative reviews about the fragrance. But I have to say that they were quite dramatic. The smell is actually not that strong or bad. I understand if you're extremely sensitive, then maybe. But in some reviews, people said that they are not sensitive and can hardly stand the smell. There are literally pieces of algae in the soap, which is why it has a strange smell. But that certainly hasn't affected my opinion of the product as my skin loves it so far. Probably not strong enough to fight acne, but I bought a few other products from this line for that. This is a great daily cleanser for those of us who are sensitive to acne medications. I've been using it every morning and evening since I bought it and my skin hasn't had any side effects. Which is very important to me when it comes to skin care. Definitely worth a try if you're considering this purchase. I will definitely be ready to buy more once I've finished my current bottle!
