This is the absolute best comforter I have ever had. Its texture is soft, like a cloud, and it is very warm in itself. But the real magic happens once you turn it on. It gets incredibly warm and hot, like sitting in front of a fireplace on a chilly December night. My only issue with this is that I want the preheat function to be at least 20 minutes. Preheating means it will heat up at the highest level for 10 minutes and then return to the temperature you set. On a very cold night, 10 minutes is not enough. But that's not against the terms of the contract. I love this duvet and it's worth every penny! PS To get it really hot, set it up and put some pillows on all your comforters at the foot of the bed for about 15 minutes. The pad keeps the heat in and makes it really warm and cozy. You'll forget you're living in -20 degree weather with 2 feet of snow.
