Very well-made and light-weight hiking shoes. The quick release feature is amazing. However, I'm not sure how much water it can protect. We couldn't try it because we went with high booties due to the heavy rainy season. These pairs appear to be waterproof rather than waterproof and definitely not for puddle crossings. I said these were solid shoes for hiking in the dry season and we could get them again when hiking in those seasons.
