I don't think it took me forever to figure out how it fits together. One day I came to the "changing table/cot. I immediately noticed some serious shortcomings. The grid was such a great idea. I stretched it properly, but the velcro on the other side isn't long enough. I noticed holes in the seams. Not only is it worse, it also snags the velcro very quickly. Baby rug may not be comfortable. The time it took to button it up to the end was a nuisance. Pro: If all this was a children's bag? It will work. It has a USB port. Overall it's a great concept, but it's a mess. I would use an old fashioned changer. The one that comes in a diaper bag. On the other hand, if they turned it into a whole bag for babies? Bonus. But even then I would have hesitation. There were streams going off. Conclusion: Don't be fooled by the video. They are so good at it and it just looks easy. It is not.
