Review on Crest Design Daypacks Backpack Rucksack Backpacks by Michele Rutland

thoughtful and durable backpack

After using this bag for a week, I appreciated a few thoughtful touches. For example, the larger zippers make accessing the various outer pockets quicker and easier than other bags, and the magnetic buttons that hold the lower front flap in place (the buckles are decorative) mean I don't have to be careful. valve to keep it from jumping. Another plus for me is that the two outside zipped pockets are large enough for a large smartphone, and since I carry two devices with me (one for work), each can have its own pocket. Depending on your organization and padding preferences, you'll likely need a pen pocket and laptop sleeve if you plan to use this in a school/office. I thought the integrated sleeve was great for keeping my 15" laptop from sliding around, but unlike other cases, the bottom of this sleeve is sewn no higher than the bottom of the bag, and there's no padding to speak of either: I would recommend a soft case to protect your laptop in case of a fall. I found that the contrast stitching (orange on black for the model I received) stands out more than the photos show, which I really like. Another thing that was hard to tell from the pictures was whether my 27oz water bottle (clean canteen bottle) would fit in the side pocket. Although it is, it is uncomfortable to sit down when the bag is almost full. If I were to ask for a version of this bag in the future it would be because of the stiffer padding on the shoulder straps but since it is a daypack. , light padding is understandable. By all accounts this is an impressive daypack at this price point and I am very happy with the purchase.
