This speaker is superb. I read some reviews before buying and thought it can't be that great, but it is! The sound range is reminiscent of a three-component speaker. Especially if you "pop out" the subwoofer (below). Volume is controlled by the connected device, but it sounds great and gets pretty loud while maintaining sound quality. The price is great. I've used it to connect to my iDevices, MacBook, and PC with no issues. Setup is easy. I used it for an outdoor art event, the art exhibition needed sound and I was worried someone might intercept the channel without a password, but Bluetooth is blocked for the first connected device. Comes with a USB charging cable but I've used square iPhones. End to charge on the wall, worked great. The only downside would be the range, it goes about 15ft and should be an unobstructed path if you go that far, but I was also concerned about size and portability, which was a compromise.
