IF YOU WORK FROM HOME AND HAVE CATS, YOU NEED IT! *UPDATED - BOTH SIZES

This summer I've noticed that my kitties are spending a lot of time in the hottest places spend. At home. Are they covered in fur but want to be as warm as possible? This got me thinking, so I googled it. In the wild, cats try to keep warm to save as much energy as possible for the next hunt. Although domestic cats do not rely on hunting for food, they are still genetically programmed to do so. I work from home so both cats are almost always sitting in my chair, especially when the heater is on under my desk. . During the day I need very little time to have my hands and knees free for work. No distractions. They just love being around me and being warm. I love it, but still only need a small amount of space. I keep telling them I have to work so I can afford to feed them but they never seem to get it! ;) They're both 17 and have their own schedules and I just didn't expect the constant war for my knees that started as the weather got colder. An annual event. I placed this bed on my desk where I usually put either a bed for her (when it's cold) or a blanket (when it's warm). I put a pillow (as instructed) on top along with a few other items to add weight and didn't remove any labels/stickers in case that didn't work. I had ten minutes of a twenty minute test run when my tall boy (white) saw the bed and rushed over to him. I had to quickly remove the pillow and the occasional trash for him to get inside. I realized the whole point is that they like it, right? Well, apparently it works! As a result, I had to remove the sticker and labels underneath! I have large cats, my white and orange tom is 20lbs larger than most cats, my gray tom is 10lbs (still a big boy). They have lived together for 16 years and are still not best friends, but they tolerate each other to share warmth. Yes, I have yet to separate their fights. The smaller gray actually dominates! A 20 inch bed is perfect and gives them some space! I think the 16 inch size will fit most cats. Be sure to check out the different bed colors, costs vary wildly! Sage turned out to be the most affordable, looks good and is in no way inferior in quality. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. My kittens are now in this bed about 20 hours out of 24 a day. They love it! I love it! I can work, my boyfriend can sleep! And I know that they are happy and content. And they are by my side all day long. Class! ***** UPDATE ********** I persuaded my girlfriend to buy one of the 16 inch beds for her cat but he just didn't agree. He's a fastidious guy, has been a vagabond for a long time and still does everything by his own rules. So she gave me a bed! Yay! I've had my 20 inch for about 3 weeks. I still love it but my cats fight over it all the time! You can tell the heating pad goes right in the middle because that's where you always want to be, right in the middle of the bed. This poses some issues, but if your cats get along and are large, a 20-inch size will do. Perfect size even for a small dog! DIFFERENCES I HAVE NOTICED ABOUT THE 16" BED: I have a 20" and a 16" bed, both Sage. The 16 inch is much warmer than the 20 inch. I have no idea why. When I put my hand under the bed, the temperature difference is significant. The 20-inch feels as warm as your knees, the 16-inch feels like a blanket draped over a radiator. Not boiling, just hot. My big boy upgraded to 16 inches, he doesn't have a lot of space but he loves the heat. My smaller cat just curled up in the middle of 20 inches. If you're worried about these beds being plugged in 24/7, you should probably opt for the larger one for peace of mind. I don't really have an explanation for the difference in heat, but I feel a lot more confident with more on a consistent basis. In addition, these beds have a slippery floor. Put a blanket or something else that creates friction under the beds so the cats don't fly up when they jump in!
