I first saw these pitchers at a local shop a few years ago and received a pair as gifts but they sold out quickly and limited colourways. I got the black one online. The black is nice, but it costs more. Very Large - 11 1/2" tall (from base to tip of lip) and 7 1/4" wide at handle end, although for some reason the description says 10" tall. The "large" size is slightly smaller. You end up paying more for the black and extra large, but it's worth it: the fish has a bit of wear on the glaze on the scales and fins on the body, leaving some of the underlying white porcelain showing through. The effect is that the scales and fins shimmer and have the luster of a real fish.The glaze is hard on the inside, on the head and at the base.The fishbowl proved so popular that Wade Ceramics added new designs to its range: Rooster, Killer Whale , dolphin and alligator.
