These are cute gift boxes with a fixed lid. The boxes are made out of heavy cardboard and the bottom seems strong enough to hold items without tape. I was expecting them to be much smaller, so I was very surprised at the assembled size. On the bottom of the box pictured, three of the four corners have a small white spot (at the crease) and the black paper is slightly torn, with white showing through. It's not bad, but still noticeable. Tissue paper and gifts must be loaded from above. When you push the top down, it folds itself, albeit springily, and you have to tie ribbons to keep the top closed. Once you untie the tie, the lid springs back and partially opens on its own, and you can tell you just pull it up and then drop it in to get the gift. Really cute boxes and the idea is genius but probably not something I would buy again.
