From the minute I tried to install them I regretted the purchase. I just thought the bad reviews were dramatic. The spike on the bracket is so full that if you hammer it into the frame it will split the wood. Still trying to install just one bracket, I held it in place and attempted to pound it with the oven mitt that came with the kit. After several hits, the potholder simply bent and barely penetrated the wood. I thought it was inside but as soon as I let go it just fell off. I gave them up completely. In theory, the product is good, but its design has serious flaws. A thick, blunt triangular point meant to be driven into wood will naturally split it. A new life lesson was learned. I will request a refund. I do not recommend.
