I bought this thing to work as a bottom KVM switch for a USB keyboard and mouse. Yes, this thing only has one output, but let me continue: I was able to plug it into a powered USB 2.0 hub (my monitor in this case) and it would output everything from that hub to my PC and Macbook. In theory this should have worked, and in fact it could be correctly output to a computer (1st edition). However, a hardware or software issue caused the second output to never toggle (using a keyboard shortcut). I just kept it on my desk for a while and swapped the 2 USB outputs to act as a switch. I also tried it as a normal device but never got the software to switch to it. I contacted Belkin about this and received a "Sorry, our customer support team is overwhelmed" message, this was about 6 months ago. Haven't heard from them and haven't received an RMA yet. In short, this product was broken and there is no support for Belkin. Buyer Warning.
