As others have said these clips are not exactly 90 degrees. I was concerned when a reviewer stated that they had to cut the slot at an angle for them to work. I tested them with a straight cut and found no problems. I tested several cuts at varying distances from 3/8" to 5/8" from the top of the table. I've found that 1/2 inch works best. I cut the slots 3/8" deep. Others have indicated that they came with either no screws or pan head screws. Mine came with Phillips screws. Would order again.
