More than adequate stability for KRK Classic 5. Stands look attractive and feel strong and heavy. When ordering I chose these because they looked good and solid in the photo, but I didn't read the description carefully enough and ended up overlooking that there is no height adjustment and that the bottom and top panels are glass, not steel. As such, they are fragile and need to be handled with much more care than metal coasters. They also require careful assembly, especially when tightening the bolts to support the panels. During assembly, I noticed that the holes cut in the center of the glass plates were slightly larger than the diameter of the screw, resulting in more play than should be present in the structural connection area. To eliminate the gap I made a rubber sleeve around the ends of the studs where they go through the holes. Also, the flared flange around the base of the stand is made out of fairly thin plastic, so it's not as strong as it looks in the photos. In my case, I don't plan on moving them after they're installed in the room, so I decided to keep them. However, I plan to go back and reinforce all the fragile attachment points on the glass pieces with JB Weld just to be on the safe side.
