PROS: 1) It actually looks better than the photos! It looks and feels like a piece of furniture. The lid fits well. Seams and buttons add elegance. This is a reasonable seat height for some (smaller) people. 2) The color is a nice rich chocolate brown that goes well with my decor. I even bought his cube shaped baby to use as a folder/ottoman. 3) You can store a TON of things in this thing! Books, exercise books, blankets, etc. The height is dimensioned so that you can store files and exercise books upright. This is ideal if your living room doubles as your office or you need extra space for a couple of kids (or a small adult) with storage. CONS: 1) Okay, I read the smell warnings. But I mistakenly thought this meant it would have a light "new shower curtain" from yesterday. I was wrong. Wow, this thing breaks. At first I wanted to put it at the foot of the bed, but the smell gave me such a headache (I'm sensitive to strong smells) that I changed my plans. Instead, it became a bench for my reading corner in the living room. I've only had it a day so I'm hoping that this smell will go away as it wears off. SERIOUSLY: I would give a full 5 stars if the smell wasn't so strong. However, don't let that put you off buying the product if you plan to use it in a large room or if you're not that sensitive to 'new vinyl' smells! The quality is excellent for the price!
