I've been using Sony MDREX15AP headphones for a long time because they're pretty darn cheap and they work great, but every new pair I buy only lasts half as long. same as the previous one (the last one only lasted 1 year) with the sound on the side of the mic (left) fading after some use. So I figured I'd go with something more expensive and hopefully better quality/more durable. Pros: The audio is loud and clear. Cons: The ear pads didn't fit. I found them difficult to put on over the ear, they also became uncomfortable very quickly if I tried to really squeeze them, and the noise isolation wasn't very good. I've tried smaller ones and others but none fit my size. And the material is thin and not very compressible, so there is no room for comfort in it. I ended up reusing the earbuds from my Sony headphones (I have a lot of them now), which luckily fit well, and immediately got both comfort and noise isolation. The outer layer of the earcup is much thicker than the Sony earcup, and the material feels much better.
