I have just returned a replacement I purchased from Home Depot, Fluid Master Universal Cistern Lever. The concept is good, plastic so it should never rust (that's why I replaced mine) BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. This is a direct replacement. Very well done. A little crooked and all is well. I have ordered another one in case it is no longer available. I actually bought a second one on Ebay for $2 cheaper! Since the metal part that is out of the water is prone to corrosion (yes, there is little oxygen in the water so this part doesn't corrode), I will cover the pole with a small diameter soft PVC tube to cover the area is outside. The water in the tank must be good.
