Becomes SUPER HOT, may pose a fire hazard.
Plug it in and immediately the little box in the center gets very hot, too hot to touch. It may cause a fire where connected. Very dangerous. I'm sending it back for a new one, hope I just got a bad one. I will update this review accordingly if the replacement works with no dangerous noise. Update 7/7/20: The replacement element is defective. The same problem with overheating when connecting. I've tried different types of USB ports (PC, wall socket, etc.) and they either overheat or don't power the 12V device I'm trying to use (lumbar pillow).
