I'm a music lover who uses my headphones between one and six hours a day and as you can imagine this means I use headphones a lot more than my wallet and I would love to do . I also run three or four times a week and to say music is a must during my runs is an understatement. Against this background, three characteristics of headphones are very important to me.1. Sound: Well, I'm not an audiophile, but I also think gas station headphones are a disgrace, and I've had several headphones over 100β¬. Other than that, I LOVE the sound these kids make. The headphones themselves aren't anything special, but the way the twist-lock caps get the sound right into your ear takes these guys to another level than anything else you could get for under $100, and gives music a richness that I find painfully missing when using other earbuds or headphones. Because of this, you can turn the volume MUCH lower than other headphones/earbuds, which is good if, like me, you like loud music but don't want to be reminded that you're going deaf. When you're 50, you turn on the music and realize it's already at maximum volume. 2. Longevity: This is the main reason I gave these buds four stars instead of five. Given that they have "Duro" in their name (for durability in case you didn't get it), I was a bit disappointed. They have a Kevlar cord which seems like a great feature but in my experience it always punctures within a month and gradually becomes more and more tangled which is both ugly and annoying. Also, silicone twist-lock lids should definitely be less brittle so they don't crack and fall off as easily. It's extremely annoying when you take the headphones out of your case and one of the covers flies off in the process. Because of this, they get lost fairly easily, which wouldn't be a big deal if this company didn't charge TEN DOLLARS for a replacement pair. In my opinion for ten dollars you can buy 3 or 4 pairs of covers. They stay in your damn ears!: That's obviously the main selling point for these headphones, and they're mostly successful at it. I think some of the other reviewers who complained about this used the wrong size screw cap (there are 3 different sizes to choose from). The only time they ever fall out is when I'm running and DRINKING through sweat so my ears get wet, in which case I dry the insides of my ears and the screw caps with my shirt and then they stay in my ears the rest of mine running I never have to do this on most runs, and if I do, it's only once. Overall these are really solid headphones that do their job of staying in your ears and unintentionally (I guess) creating a better listening experience. Music through headphones I've ever experienced. However, this company either has to make twist-lock covers that don't fall off the headphones as easily, or sell replacements at a cheaper price.
