These shoes are great! I originally bought these because the ground around my pool gets VERY hot in the summer and they make it easier to get in and out of the pool. I also took them to Mexico for a family vacation and they were great for walking on the hot beaches. They provide excellent traction in the pool if you don't have plastered surfaces and they get very slippery and you risk slipping and falling. I will note that the only "problem" I have with them is that the ratchet strap snapped and came off the tongue when I put them on. No big deal. All I have to do is grab real string and pull to tighten it. Definitely recommend this shoe.
