PROS:• thick, sturdy rubber• texture areas so ball doesn't slide and for better grip• small, compact size, perfect for young child• cute polka dot design (deeper teal-blue than in the product picture)CONS:• covered in greasy, sticky residue out of the boxThis seems like a sturdy, well-thought out toy — I like that there are textured areas on the ball to make it safer to use (on the bottom, so ball doesn't slide, and around the handle for better grip). My 3-year-old hasn't quite figured out the perfect bouncing technique yet, but I think it's just a matter of playing with the hopper for a bit to get the hang of it (I tried it, and as another reviewer stated, it is usable even for an adult, despite the small hopper size). I took a picture next to a tissue box for general size reference.One weird thing was that the ball was covered in greasy, sticky residue when I took it out of the box. It washed off with some dish soap, but I was glad I opened the box before gifting it to my 3-year-old.
