Haven't felt anything
I've never used a cooling towel so I have no comparison. A neighbor suggested I take it for a walk in the summer to cool off (since the gym was closed due to COVID I started running 3 miles). I don't see it cooling me any more than any other wet towel draped around your neck. The only advantage is the relatively low weight. I shook it, flipped it, did everything suggested and I don't think it did anything at all.
