Review on πŸ“· Movo GPR-5 Media Housing: GoPro Case with Cold Shoe Mount for Hero 5/6/7 - Compatible with Mic Adapter by Shannon Connolly

Revainrating 1 out of 5

plastic frames; problem with the lens cap; closed microphone and speaker.

-PRO: light weight but I don't know how strong the light plastic frame is. Slide the included GoPro silicone lens cap over the lens. Bad design, but I think they thought it would "protect" the lens somehow. It's not like this. Additionally, the GoPro's right mic is framed, rendering it unusable, resulting in the audio being picked up much quieter. The top microphone is not covered. The DYNAMIC below is also covered. Worst of all, you can't "swipe" your finger up/down on the rear screen to navigate to different programs because the plastic case is too "thick" around the edges. This prevents swiping up/down. Biggest problem: Using this case with a mic adapter and a small mic/windscreen and a tilted GoPro mount attached to the bottom is too heavy, causing the entire rig to move. on an adapter that tightens with a thumbscrew. > (BEST would be a metal case with a mic adapter section and a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom of the case, but I can't find an alum case like this for GoPro7)
