Review on πŸ’― Premium Quality: 100 Kai Stainless Steel Double Edge Safety Razor Blades - Made in Japan, 20 Packs of 5 by Jenny Gase

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best blade for me

I have +/- 75 different types of blades in my collection (including many from before 1980) and Kai blades consistently give the best combination of a close and comfortable DE shave. They are in the Feather class (another personal favourite), and many who have used both find the Kai to be more forgiving. For what it's worth, when used with good preparation, the kais and feathers end up offering fewer touch ups compared to other blades I've used. I've tried Kai blades on over 20 different razors, from softer to more aggressive. (R41 + iKon Tech) and I haven't had a bad experience with either, although I particularly like Kai in RazoRock Lupo and Muhle Rocca. I have a few clear misses with the Feather, especially when paired with some of the more aggressive Razors (I failed with iKon Tech, for example), but even it can miss in the mid-range. razor too. That said, I'm still a big fan of Feather - when a foam and razor combo is perfect, nothing quite comes close - but Kai is a stellar performer in his own right and can hold his own against Feather in most situations. for closeness while reducing the risk of weeping or cutting for less experienced shavers.
