These connectors are of very poor quality. They might have been a good product, but manufacturers were trying to save a fraction of a cent by using less metal than required. As you can see from the photo the sockets are not deep enough to install the dowels. I processed the left one more deeply, the right one, that's how they appear. Machining as needed didn't leave much metal. The hole for the banana plug is also too big and the plugs don't fit properly. The plugs have a very large opening for the wire and cannot pinch the wire unless it is huge. If you are using cables of this size you are most likely using much higher quality connectors.
