I wasn't sure what to expect from doll resin--

I have used this product for something different than most. I used it on a resin doll's head. You can't use oil based products on doll resin (cast product) as it degrades the resin over time so everyone fights for water based mediums. I hadn't thought of using water based markers before, instead using watercolor pencils and soft pastels, but when this idea came to my mind I immediately jumped to find something to try. I researched for a week and settled on the set that offered the widest range of colors and had good reviews. I only needed small color areas, so the quick color build-up on a large double page was no problem. What I needed most was a hard tip that doesn't smooth out fine brow or lash lines and allows you to detail lips and the like. Well, the tips are pretty hard, which is good, but not good enough for fine detail work. Given that I need to use a 00 size brush for these elements, this makes sense. What I found very interesting is the ability to layer these pins. Normally you would expect the paint to be wiped off the next coat if the first coat wasn't sealed; However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could add layer by layer for more intense color (it applied very lightly at first which bothered me at first) and didn't affect the first layer of color. and was built upon without the need for waterproofing between them. Layers. Wow! The reason I gave 4 stars this time is because I haven't looked into the watery aspect of these markers yet. I really want to try the brush and see what kind of control and texture I can achieve this way. I will also add photos in the future to show the undiluted color on the resin surface. (Note: the resin surface was sealed with Mister Super Clear before the markers were applied.) I want to add these to my little arsenal of resin safe materials! So far I'm happy with the results. what kind of control and texture can I achieve this way. I will also add photos in the future to show the undiluted color on the resin surface.
