Don't stick them in the sand! They basically expire.
I had high hopes for these trucks as my son loves big wheels and trucks to play with on the street. Before I went to the beach, I wanted to give him a new set of toys to play on the beach. Big mistake. After playing in the sand, the wheels practically do not move. I then rinsed them in water but they still don't work well. May be ok if not used outdoors in mud or sand, otherwise keep away from parents and donors.
