I've been using it for a little over a week. To get used to something. During the winter months these weighted blankets really shine and not only keep you warm but also help you sleep better. Not much in summer unless you live in a cooler climate. Because this blanket is knitted, air circulates better, so you don't overheat in summer and maintain an even temperature in winter. Came in my own reusable space bag. which is convenient for storage when not in use. There were no bad odors upon opening the package and it didn't take long to unlock its full potential. The duvet can be wide enough to cover the surface of a queen-size bed. At night it shifts slightly and runs (partly) down the foot of the bed if you move around a lot while you sleep. (guilt) It reminds me of a potholder the size of a bed. The kind you made as a kid with these loom kits for your parents.
